You’ll learn to develop and nurture a creative process that moves your work and ideas into unexpected and exciting directions. Carroll's art curriculum is grounded in the liberal arts and prepares its graduates for a lifelong journey of art making and art appreciation that insists on engagement with the ideas of our times and on personal growth.
What Can You Do with an 艺术 Major?
Carroll’s art majors are prepared for success in a variety of fields including art therapy graduate programs, 艺术教育, 艺术管理, 博物馆/画廊作品, and fine or commercial artist.
Our program focuses on both depth and breadth of knowledge. Students develop skills in a variety of media including painting, 版画, 雕塑, 陶瓷与摄影. Students are also encouraged to bring knowledge of other disciplines into their work as they are challenged to think deeply about the content of their work and its influences. Students have the advantage of studying in small classes with faculty who are working artists.
Our facilities include large studio classrooms, 两个校园画廊, 学生展览空间, and three MAC computer labs. Our students gain experience outside the classroom through participation in internships. Senior year students host an exhibition of their recent work in Carroll’s professional gallery in the media of their choice. All art majors leave Carroll with a career-ready portfolio.
